I found this one thanks to caprican_dame's review and had to second the rec. The descriptions of the quiet atmosphere of mourning during simulated night on Cloud Nine are beautiful. Lee and Kara's interaction and dialogue has just the right touch of not-too-much-but-enough to fit them. And the very last line is perfect.

So tragic but lovely. This fic has just the kind of "missing scene" from the finale I think I didn't need but still wanted, and when it's written this way it's so easy to believe this was part of the story.

Bet you don't read much fic about these characters. Grey writes a lot of short work specializing in the Cylon perspective of things with very impressive insight, and this perfect drabble is a glimpse into the Centurions' minds that feels absolutely real.
